Endnotes
For the piece of history, historical origins are the main reasons why Chinese cultures and Japanese cultures are closely connected with each other. The relationship between China and Japan can be dated the Tang Dynasty. Then, the relations between China and Japan have blown hot and cold, time and again, since ancient times to now.
For the piece of to save, or not to save-that is the question, I utilized a style of exaggeration to enlarge the different attitudes toward Japanese. In reality, I firmly believe that no matter a Japanese or a Chinese is drowning, most Chinese will try to save him/her. As a Chinese, I am responsible to say that Chinese people have complicated attitudes towards Japan. The fact that the invasion and violence deeply hurt Chinese emotions cannot be forgotten easily, especially for the elders who had experienced the pain of losing families. Thus, a majority of Chinese people who are over 60 years old extremely hate Japan. However, with the spread of Japanese cultures in China, such as music, dramas, especially animation, although younger generation still recognizes the fact that Japan had invaded our country before, it doesn’t influence them to be interested in Japanese cultures. Moreover, on the one hand, Japan, as a beautiful tourist attraction, attracted middle-aged people in China. On the other hand, they have difficulties in advancing Japanese tourism. This can be seen as a typical example to show their complicated emotions and attitudes toward Japan. And the pictures were drawn by me.
For the piece of hatred, I addition to the political issues, I really hope that China and Chinese people can develop a better relationship with Japanese. I have to admit that there are various aspects that China and Chinese need to learn from Japan and Japanese, like environment management, manners, and so forth. Don’t be blinded by hatred.
